...yeah, this is my countermeasure to make sure it WON'T happen that way. |
I actually posted a new story at Livejournal a couple of days ago but I know better than to trust myself when it comes to typing
Thus, let the
1. Who is your favorite anime male character?
Damn this is hard. I have biases like practically everywhere and to choose one is nigh impossible. But if I really have to say, perhaps, (or obviously) it will be Natsume Takashi from Natsume Yuujinchou. Biases aside (lol), I really like his character; and for him to have a good personality and kind heart after all the crap he faced before he went to stay with the Fujiwaras is damn admirable. As he strives to be good to others, I can't help but root for him all the way. Heck, I don't think there's any character that gets me attached to them this bad.
2. Who is your favorite female character?
....none? Kidding! Well if I have hard time choosing for male because there's too many to choose it's quite the opposite for females, mostly because there's not much choice too begin with and no, it's not me being bias, it's more like there's not much that comes off as memorable to me. I can cheat by picking Honda Tohru from Fruits Basket, but that's only because I finished the manga so I don't think it can count here. So instead I'll choose Kino from Kino no Tabi. If only because she is so cool and can handle the gun like a boss. Also on how she sticks to her principal as she travels from one country to another. That makes her strong in a way itself, and that's a big tick in my book.
3. What is your favorite anime soundtrack?
I'm torn between Durarara!! (Ikebukuro nishiguchi go mata-ro kōsaten makes an awesome theme), Honey and Clover (Incessant Rain is my personal favorite) and Natsume Yuujinchou (all 4 seasons, with all version of Kimi ga Yobu Namae being my instant jam) but in the end the one that come out triumph is Mushishi soundtrack; which is nothing short of awesome, or as Big Bang says 'Wow, fantastic baby'. I'm a sucker to minimalist instrumental pieces despite being more on a pop/rock fan in my music, and I'm still in the midst of listening to all the songs (just found the albums after intense Google-ing) and I'm yet to find a piece I didn't like, which tells a lot for a picky listener like me. And to have not one, but two album of soothing, mellow, and relaxing sound of flute, piano, strings, and midi input instrumentals to enjoy? Damn. While at that go and watch Mushishi the anime or read the award-winning manga; you're missing so much if you don't.
4. What is your favorite anime opening + animation?
Eden of the East's, hands down. The animation is so damn cool I can totally ignore the obvious abuse of pink in here. Durarara!!'s 'Uragiri no Yuuyake' comes a close second with the way it connects each character, but Oasis' 'Falling Down' is too awesome a song for me.
5. What is your favorite anime ending song + animation?
I can't remember when I was last impressed by an ED before LAMA's 'Fantasy' for Un-Go. The animation is quirky
6. What is your favorite anime scene?
This is hard. (; ̄Д ̄) But I go with the one from Operation 5 of Sentou Yousei Yukikaze anime where the journalist driving off and for a split second almost saw Rei beside the waving Jack at the rear mirror of her car and she stopped abruptly to turn only to see Jack alone. I don't know why but that scene leave an impression to me; as we never really learn the last fate of Rei and Yukikaze
7. If you could meet an anime character, who would it be?
Doraemon. Damn I want the pocket. Oh so much.
8. What anime character is most similar to you in terms of personality?
I can relate to Taki Tooru from Natsume Yuujinchou; I really go nuts when I saw cats (I don't know what'll I do if I ever met one like Nyanko-sensei...). I can also be a bit like Kyon; all snarky and unenthusiastic on stuff, minus the supernatural part though; I do believe it exists.
9. What is your favorite thing about anime?
I love how it can be so wide and a little bit of everything; from hilarious to absurd or deep and totally illogical. The animation is one thing, but I tend to focus more on the storyline. It's a great inspiration for me and my writing.
10. What is your least favorite thing about anime?
The ecchi. I can't stand it. If there's a bit of fanservice it's still fine, but when they really go all out to make it look fanservice-y it tends to rub me the wrong way. One reason I can't stand and won't watch Highschool of the Dead; no amount of praise you give me on that anime will change my mind and opinion on it.
11. Who are your favorite anime couple?
Sakura and Shaoran. Though I like their Tsubasa Chronicles counterpart more than the Cardcaptor Sakura version. Maybe it's the tragedy, perhaps. Blame my angst mind. Special shout-out to Sakakibara Kouichi and Misaki Mei from Another. I want them together so bad.
12. Who is your favorite anime animal?
Nyanko-sensei FTW! He drinks, slacks off in his yojinbo duty, and badass in his Madara form. Besides, how can you resist the fat cat?
13. What anime would make a good game?
I'm not a gamer (I have bad eye-hand coordination; this is what they are called, right?) so yeah. Skip.
14. What game would make a good anime?
Again. Skip.
15. What was the first anime you ever watched?
Doraemon? Hahaha~ But technically I'll say Dragon Ball. Goku is still my No.1 childhood hero.
16. Do you think you’ll ever stop watching anime?
Not in the foreseeable future. Though more like I can't imagine myself stop watching.
17. What is your favorite genre of anime?
I like supernatural stuff, or fantasy setting-style. I'm okay with horror/psychological stuff too, so long as the plot's interesting. I can tolerate shounen better than shoujo, as I found cliche stuff boring at times. As I grow older though I tend to like josei stuff and seinen too, along with sports-theme anime. And perhaps the stressful university life makes me go for humour/comedy more often these days.
18. What is your least favorite genre of anime?
Generic rom-com (unless it avoids the cliche and there's genuine plot) and typical slice-of-life with no plot whatsoever. Also moe and fanservice-y stuff. I'm fine with anime so long as there's plot, really. That matters the most to me.
19. Are you open about watching anime with people you know?
I often watched anime on TV with the whole family, and it's entertaining in a sense to see everybody's reaction. Though if using my laptop I prefer watching it alone, unless it's episode I already watched beforehand then I won't mind watching together.
20. Have you ever been to Japan?
No. But I will. One day. It's my lifetime dream.
21. What anime was the biggest let down for you?
Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru. It totally lived up to its name; as the last ep betrayed me so bad after the awesome 23 episodes, it remained in memory as the ultimate RAGEEEE anime for me. Needless to say there's no other anime that had managed that so far; I was THIS close to flung the precious laptop as the final credits roll.
22. What anime was better than expected?
Seitokai no Ichizon. For an anime that has its setting resolves around and in the student council room only, it's unexpectedly nice, and actually is deeper than it seems, which is a pleasant surprise.
23. What is the best anime fight scene?
Whenever Mugen and Jin fight (each other or other people) in Samurai Champloo. The art is so stylish and even the movement looks damn smooth. Close second is Orihara Izaya and Heiwajima Shizuo; because a superhuman and a troll makes an epic vending machine/street sign throwing and parkour action. :P
24. Who is your anime husbando?
I have no idea, but Heiji Hatsutori? (Hattori? Blame Malaysian printing edition for changing the name). We practically share the name after all. :P
25. What was your favorite video game as a child?
...I don't think I ever own one. My lack of interest in gaming might come because of this.
26. Most Embarrassing moment?
HAHAHAHA.
27a. Can you drive?
I own a license. That doesn't mean I can drive though.
27b. Do you own a car?
No. It'll be a waste anyway since I can't use it OTL
28. Are you mature?
I'm the eldest in the family so it's more like I'm expected to be a more mature person. I can't rate myself though. In some ways, perhaps, yes. I like to think that I'm not though.
29. What year were you born?
There goes the anonymity. 1990.
30. Do you prefer cats or dogs?
Cats. They are so cute~
31. Describe yourself physically.
Er...Asian; black hair black eyes. Average height, and feels the need to go on a diet, since my mom keeps saying I've gotten fatter, though my friends beg to differ. Well, normal, I guess.
32. What would you name your first child?
I don't think that far yet. Though it will be simple, I guess. Just 2 sentences, and not novel names (especially if it's a girl); too flowery for my taste.
33. What is the worst injury you have ever had?
I sprained my elbow when I was 12; the bike I was on hit the back tire of another kid's and I fell, my damn heavy bag hit the right elbow. To my defense the road was clear and the kid came out of nowhere (though I kinda went on -somewhat- fast for a bicycle...). Never went to the hospital though (my mom don't even know this), as my Taekwondo master fix it the very next day. He pulled the arm until I can hear a clear 'crack', and damn it's painful. But I immediately started the punching practice afterwards so...yeah. I'm somewhat reckless (still am) I guess.
34. What is your worst habit?
I procrastinate. Too much. It's not even funny.
35. Do you drink or smoke?
No. And never will.
36. Do you have a tattoo?
Same case as above.
37. Are you a morning person or a night person?
A night person of course. You don't want to know what's the time I'm typing the draft to this....
38. Have you ever slept past midday?
Happens rarely when I stay up the whole night and only sleep at around 7 or 8AM. My biological clock is as random as I am.
39. Do you regret anything?
Tons of things. It can't be helped, since regret is like, inescapable as a person; but still. Though mostly I regret for understanding something I shouldn't have; it adds to the hurt, if not making it worse. And I hate myself for being rational most of the time; it never make me feel any better.
40. Can you count the number of friends you have on one hand?
No. I'm an awkward person, but I'm lucky enough to have friends. RL or on the net. :)
41. Do you wear glasses?
My glasses is my world; you won't see me without it. Or more like I can't live without it; I'll knock into every wall existed. Yes, my eyesight is that bad.
42. Are you a picky eater?
Not really...I generally eats anything; but I don't eat seafood much. And I can't handle durian. No.
43. Would you die for someone?
Yes.
44. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I don't believe in the concept of forever, so I don't think I want immortality. But maybe if I can stay healthy and young to do whatever the crap I want that will be awesome. So something like extending lifeline or something? Or Time Controller hahahaha~
45. Do you believe in the supernatural?
Yes. It's fascinating to think that there is something else out there.
46. Would you rather be rich or famous?
Definitely rich. I don't like (and want) people poking into my business. I value my privacy, oh so much.
47. Have you ever committed a crime?
Yes. Don't ask what I did.
48.
49. Does someone have a crush on you?
No, as far as I'm concerned.
50. Are you in a relationship?
No.
